General restoration
A comprehensive restoration covering the instrument’s key technical, acoustic and visual components.
A general restoration begins with a thorough assessment of the entire instrument — its structure, action, keyboard, acoustic assembly and cabinet. This allows us to define a scope of work suited to the age, condition and individual character of the upright or grand piano.
Depending on what the instrument requires, the restoration may combine work on the action and keyboard, soundboard, pinblock, strings, cabinet and finish. The aim is to restore reliable function, stability and musical qualities while respecting as much of the instrument’s original construction and history as possible.
