Keyboard

The keyboard is the player’s direct point of contact with the instrument, so even small amounts of play, unevenness or material wear can be clearly felt. We assess the keys, their guidance and level, and the way the keyboard interacts with the action.

Depending on the condition, work may include cleaning, levelling, removing excessive play, replacing worn felts and bushings, repairing wooden parts, and restoring or replacing key coverings. The goal is an even, secure and natural-feeling keyboard.
